MY
LEADERSHIP
FRAMEWORK
PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
There are two major goals of education. The first is to provide students with the tools needed to achieve academic success and excel in extracurricular activities. The second is to promote students' becoming productive and responsible citizens. Therefore, schools should provide students with a vision of learning conducive to satisfying these goals.
I believe that all students can learn. It is essential to design and implement strategic plans that enhance teaching styles to meet the needs of today's diverse learners.
“Leaders establish trust with candor, transparency, and credit.”— Jack Welch
PHILOSOPHY OF LEADERSHIP
As a leader and educator, it is essential to enhance all students' success through leadership and management of the organization, operations, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment. It is important to develop a system of staff and student evaluation and programs that further enhance the quality of the staff and students in a supportive environment. Effective educators are versatile in their leadership philosophy and constantly model the ideal of integrity and ethical behavior for their students.
“People who are truly strong lift others up. People who are truly powerful bring others together.” — Michelle Obama
VISION FOR LEARNERS
Every student deserves a well-rounded education encompassing classroom learning and extracurricular activities promoting teamwork, diverse personalities, and social skills. Enhancing the quality of staff is crucial to fulfilling this vision for students, increasing both student achievement and the range of activities available.
“Management is doing the right thing; leadership is doing the right things.” — Peter F. Drucker
VISION FOR TEACHERS
Teachers are motivators and facilitators, a vast source of knowledge for their students, and have the highest impact on student achievement. Teachers have a lasting effect on a child's life, which is a tremendous responsibility. Teachers should be positive and support the philosophy that "the child comes first" through relationship building. Teachers should have the time to plan and research curriculum and instructional programs that address students' different learning styles in order to further increase student achievement.
“People ask the difference between a leader and a boss. The leader leads, and the boss drives.”— Theodore Roosevelt
VISION FOR THE ORGANIZATION
The vision for the music programs revolves around four "C's": climate, community, collaboration, and communication. The school and classes should have a safe and positive climate. Maintaining the current facilities and providing space to support the academic and extracurricular programs of the school and music program is essential. The community should be involved in the school through parent organizations, alums support organizations, and volunteer opportunities so that they feel a sense of ownership and pride.
There should be a constant collaboration between students, parents, teachers, alums, business partners, and administrators. Through this collaboration, a well-articulated vision of learning should be developed and supported by the school and the community. Communication is the key to any successful organization. As a facilitative leader, it is vital to enhance student success through collaborative communication with the staff and students as well as with families, community members, and other members of the school climate. Student achievement is limitless when responding to the diverse needs of everyone involved.
“Leadership is not about a title or a designation. It’s about impact, influence, and inspiration.”— Robin S. Sharma
VISION FOR PROFESSIONAL GROWTH
Professional development for educators should be a continual process. Educators should be lifelong learners. Adequate resources should be acquired so teachers and staff can keep up with current trends. Constructive feedback is a method of assessment that can be utilized to determine if growth has occurred.
“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.” - John Quincy Adams
METHOD OF VISION ATTAINMENT
I believe that I am a visionary who facilitates growth by obtaining the involvement of all organizations related to the school culture so that everyone owns the vision.
Developing a goal statement that helps achieve the vision is also essential. The vision should be a long-term ideal that develops year to year. Hiring teachers who will enhance success for increased student achievement is essential to achieve this vision.
