MY
PHILOSOPHY
SERVICE PHILOSOPHY

The service and community involvement philosophy is based on the solid principle that investing in society is essential to maintain and improve the quality of life desired in America.
This includes providing community and organizational leadership, volunteering and contributing to the school, church, and social activities, and supporting candidates in elections.
Servant leadership helps us better understand that it is only through serving communities and each other that we will be able to sustain the kinds of work environments and communities we desire for the next generation of citizens.
"Education the mind without educating the heart is no education at all." -Aristotle
TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
All children, regardless of gender, race, socioeconomic background, or learning modality, have the ability to learn if provided with an environment conducive to learning.
The teacher would facilitate, reinforce, and enrich the student’s learning capacity in this learning environment. The teacher would provide the students with skills and knowledge to be productive citizens. The teacher would also have a love for teaching and a strong desire and determination to have their students succeed inside and outside the classroom.
Allow your students the opportunity to see mistakes and imperfections as part of the process.
MUSIC PHILOSOPHY
While all music teachers share specific goals, there are probably many subtle variations in teaching styles and philosophies as there are teachers. Three equally essential principles guide teaching.
First, respect for each student’s unique learning ability; second, expectation of excellence; and third, the ability to communicate effectively with all students.
To achieve the ultimate goal of student learning, I strive to implement strategies that create a collaborative and safe atmosphere and encourage the application of knowledge in new situations. These strategies help students become ready and able to utilize their knowledge in their studies and in their future employment.
Musical activities contribute to a flourishing life by helping us develop a sense of the world around us and ourselves through reflection on our beliefs and values. My aim is to promote music in various communities through performance, classroom instruction, and targeted outreach initiatives.
